Last night had a lot of good highlights none of which I’ll show of the Cavaliers (trying to be the first team to play without a coach) or the Warriors (obviously). Instead, we’ll focus on teams who play fairly and have a lot going for them like the Timberwolves and the 76ers.

Karl Anthony-Towns must have watched Mark Madsen videos before this game because his inner “Mad Dog” came out with this JAM over Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka.

Meanwhile, in Detroit, Ish Smith made Reggie Jackson long for a cigarette to relax after getting left in the dust (I don’t know what that means either).

The 76ers weren’t done. Jerami Grant decided to send Aron Baynes back to Down Under and RAISE THE ROOF in the process.

Not surprisingly, the 76ers lost to the Pistons by 13.

Prices are courtesy of DraftKings.

Point Guard (High Value): John Wall, Washington Wizards ($9,100)
The top tier point guard depth is thin tonight with Wall the most expensive and best option for the night. He’s got Denver who is will be on the 2nd leg of a back to back tonight after losing to the Celtics last night. This will be a nice, uptempo game, which suits Wall the best. Wall will most likely be playing without Bradley Beal tonight so the onus will be on him once again to carry the offensive load.

Bargain(s): Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,700); Dennis Schroder, Atlanta Hawks ($5,000)

Shooting Guard (High Value): Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls ($8,800)
I like Butler over DeRozan for the simple reason that rostering Butler gets me exposure in the late game tonight and he’s going up against the Lakers. Butler is relatively expensive, however, Derrick Rose is nursing a hamstring injury (he’s playing tonight) and Butler will be called upon to run the offense and set up isos for himself. The Lakers are abysmal and with the possibility of both Kobe and Lou Williams out, Butler could thrive and have a monster game tonight before the blowout happens.

Bargain(s): Aaron Afflalo, New York Knicks ($5,200); Garrett Temple, Washington Wizards ($4,400)

Small Forward (High Value): Otto Porter, Washington Wizards ($6,400)
Porter came back from injury with a back to back solid games and logged 30+ minutes in both contests. He gets a boost tonight if Bradley Beal is out. Like John Wall, Porter gets another boost and thrives in an uptempo game and this game should have a good pace to it. The Nuggets rank 21st against SFs on DK and I like Porter getting loose tonight.

Bargain(s): Derrick Williams, New York Knicks ($5,500); Jeff Green, Memphis Grizzlies ($4,900)

Power Forward (High Value): Ryan Anderson, New Orleans Pelicans ($6,300)
With Fragile Man aka Anthony Davis listed as doubtful tonight, Anderson is a great mid-level option at the PF spot if you’re looking to spend more on guards. He’ll log heavy minutes tonight and should give Boogie or Omri Casspi fits tonight with his outside shooting. The Kings rank 23rd against PFs on DK and with this game probably being a high-scoring affair, I expect Anderson to at least hit value and probably exceed it.

Bargain(s): Larry Nance Jr., Los Angeles Lakers ($4,700); Bobby Portis, Chicago Bulls ($3,500)

Center (High Value): Pau Gasol, Chicago Bulls ($8,700)
This is easily the ultimate revenge game for Pau who spent several years with the Lakers before he joined the Bulls. With another big man going down in Nikola Mirotic until after the All-Star break, I expect Pau to log minutes in the 35 minute range. He’s got the Bulls tonight who rank 30th against Centers on DK and Pau has been playing great all season long and I expect that trend to continue tonight.

Bargain(s): Willie Cauley-Stein, Sacramento Kings ($5,100); Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers ($4,600)

Get well soon!
